Ireland sales jobs could benefit from funding boost
People with
sales jobs in Ireland could benefit from a major funding boost in a public capital programme.
The government has pledged to provide €39 billion over the next seven years, which should help the nation's economy and encourage businesses to increase recruitment.
Welcoming the investment, Brendan Butler, director of IBEC, which represents Irish business, said: "This investment is an important vote of confidence in the Irish economy. The scale of the programme remains ambitious by international standards and provides the opportunity to enhance the growth potential of the economy."
He claimed that the government had "rightly prioritised" the employment aspects of the investment.
Other areas that will be focused on are infrastructure projects, education and research and development.
Mr Butler added: "It is now vital that government departments and agencies get this funding flowing through the economy as quickly as possible.
"We need to ensure that a sensible approach is taken to planning issues and that unreasonable delays do not threaten the delivery of much needed infrastructure and employment."
