Are podcasts an effective marketing tool?
People in
marketing jobs might want to keep their eye out and see how effective VisitBraitain's new campaign will be.
It has enlisted the help of "comedy duo" Helen and Olly from Answer Me This! to create a series of podcasts on the "fundamental questions about Britain".
The series will be posted onto the tourist board's Facebook page and the first episode sees the team search for the cheesiest place in the country.
They visit Cheddar Gorge in Somerset, Leagram's Organic Dairy in Lancashire and Stilton in Cambridgeshire.
Justin Reid, head of digital at VisitBritain, commented: "The Great British Questions series offers an amusing and light-hearted insight into some of the quirky and quintessentially British traditions that are cherished by people across the UK.
"By teaming up with leading comedy podcasters and showcasing the content on our Facebook page Love UK, we hope that we have captured the essence of what makes Britain a great place to visit, using our social media channels to tell our stories."
Episode two will search out the most iconic locations of British film history.
